Kabarole District Leadership and International Water and Sanitation Resource Centre (IRC) have finalized plans to extend safe water to residents in Kabende Sub County a move aimed at fighting bilharzia and other water borne diseases.
Yesterday the District leaders led by the Chairman LC5 and a team from IRC visited the Sub County to assess the possible water sources.
The District earmarked 140m shillings to extend the water to Kabende and IRC has also allocated 140m on the same project.
Richard Rwabuhinga the District Chairperson asked the residents to be prepared to receive the water to fight the water borne diseases. He says the project is in line with the NRM core values of extending safe water, better roads and electricity to citizens.
