In a bid to fight poverty Mrs.Annet Mugisha has so far donated 2570 hoes to residents in four sub-counties of Bushenyi district.
Annet; the wife to Eng.Dr.Silver Mugisha; the managing director National water &sewerage corporation says she is committed to ensure that poverty is kicked out Bushenyi district through promoting agriculture.
The sub-counties that have so far received the hoes include Nyabubare(800 hoes)Kyabugimbi (530) Kyeizooba 840,Bumbaire 400 and the more hoes are to be distributed in other sub-counties.
While presiding over the fundraising for roofing of Kayojo mosque in Nkuna, Nyabubare sub-county today, Mrs. Annet Mugisha together with her husband Eng.Dr.Silver Mugisha bought items worth Ug.sh.5.15m.
Eng.Mugisha pledged his continuous support towards development in Bushenyi district thus urging people to get united if they are to be assisted in fighting poverty.
He said due to the peace that was ushered in by President Yoweri Museveni he has a reason to rescue people from poverty.
Recently Mrs.Annet Mugisha together with her husband Eng.Mugisha donated hundreds of goats to youth groups,PWDs and widows in sub-counties of Bumbaire,Kyeizooba, Nyabubaare ,Kyabugimbi and all divisions in Bushenyi-Ishaka municipality in a bid to fight poverty.
The fundraising function was attended by the district chairman; Jafari Basajjabalaba, Deputy speaker; Annet Kenyena, Councilor Adam Kyakuwa and Peace Tibakuna; secretary for social services
