Police in Rubanda District is investigating the circumstance under which a 36 year old man is alleged to have committed suicide.
Herbert Turyamureeba a resident of Rutooma village, Mpungu parish, Hamurwa Sub County was yesterday found hanging dead in his sitting room after he was alleged to have chased away his wife and children from home few days back.
He was discovered by the herdsmen from his mother’s place in the neighborhood who had gone there to check on him after spending the whole morning of yesterday without seeing him.
The Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson Elly Maate has confirmed the incident saying that the deceased could have hanged himself in the night of Saturday.
Maate adds that police visited the scene and the case has been registered at Rubanda police station under reference number SD 13/04/02/2018 as investigations are going on, he advised people to always visit relevant offices for advice than taking their lives which can’t give a solution only to leave other family members in misery.
