The Kabarole district police commander Musa Tibakirana has disclosed that there is an increased insecurity in Fort portal municipality attributing to prostitution.
Tibakirana said that it has been observed that prostitutes are the main causes of theft cases
He noted that prostitutes are keeping thieves in their lodges at night where many people have been robbed.
Tibakirana added that some prostitutes have started robbing their customers by spraying them with chloroform adding that they have received several cases of theft. He cited a recent incident where a man was robbed 3,000,000shs in a lodge in Kisenyi.
Tibakirana however disclosed that that security is planning to carryout night patrols and chase away all prostitutes along the streets of Fort portal municipality.
He further put the blame on men who go to buy prostitutes with big sum of money.
Immediately after the fort portal municipality mayor Rev. Kintu Muhanga Willy had just been elected promised to chase all the prostitutes on the streets of Fort Portal municipality but he was fought by some of the political leaders.
